Verizon offers some extra NFL Network stuff

NFLF-Peyton_Manning_092803.jpgI didn't have the space for this in my Friday snoozer, er, I mean, primer on the NFL Network vs. cable company feud, so I'm including it here:

People who subscribe to video and broadband services through Verizon will have access this season to something called "NFL Network Game Extra,'' in which viewers can watch the network's eight games live on-line, and select from up to four camera feeds.

There is no charge for the service, which also includes live chats with other viewers, stats, drive charts and other such stuff, in case the game itself isn't interesting enough.

The first NFL Network game is Colts vs. Falcons Thanksgiving night. Dwight Freeney and Michael Vick will not be on the field.
