Soulja Boy should sing national anthem at Super Bowl
I read in SI this morning about the stadium tune sweeping the nation - Soulja Boy's "Crank Dat'' or "Crank That,'' as the case may be.
And how the original lyrics include the term "Superman dat ho,'' even if the cleaned-up version sounds more like "Superman dat, oh!'' And something about some very lewd meanings in said lyric.
After my daughter confirmed the existence of this Soulja Boy fellow and the nature of his lyrics (at least the part about the word "ho"), this thought occurred to me:
I'm so gratified about how far we've come as a society since those dark days of insensitivity and misunderstanding last spring, personified by Mr. Don Imus.

you should look up "superman dat ho" on urbandictionary.com
You must be kidding. Fox has gone too far now.
They must be nuts to have a rapper with songs like that on.
But then it is free speech???? Right?
you gotta love rap music. but the white kids cant stay away. as long as the white kids keep buying you will continue to "superman dat ho." imus already "supermaned a ho."

Tobi: I did that yesterday. Unfortunately.
Tobi, a clarification:
I meant I did that yesterday, as in I looked it up yesterday. Not that I literally DID THAT yesterday! Sigh.
Neil,
Finally our culture is raised up...what label is Soulja on?
