Speaking of the NFL Network, as I will be doing in my next post . . . What the heck was Staten Island's own Rich Eisen doing on the season finale of "Curb Your Enthusiasm'' Sunday night?
Eisen did not appear in the credits but I would bet my last NFL Network press release that it was him in the bat mitzvah scene.
I'm awaiting word from the league on this mystery.
(Update from NFL headquarters: Turns out Jeff Garlin, one of the stars of the show, has been involved with the NFL Network's celebrity fantasy league and apparently has struck up a bit of a friendship with Eisen, thus the connection. Let's hope for Rich's sake he has better luck after his cameo than Eric Mangini has had since his offseason appearance on "The Sopranos.")
Speaking of Larry David and "Seinfeld,'' you should watch Julia Louis-Dreyfus' CBS show, "The New Adventures of Old Christine.'' It's well written and acted. But now its schedule is up in the air due to the writers strike.
I don't know or care what the issues are. Writers always deserve more money, so I'm on their (our?) side.
