Maybe the NFL should have had Cornell play the Pats
CBS Sports boss Sean McManus made a crack at a conference last week that was aimed at the NFL's flex scheduling system. He suggested the league and NBC would put the Patriots in prime time even against Cornell, if necessary.
As it turned out, Cornell had a better weekend than the actual Patriots opponent did.
Cornell lost to Penn, 45-9, coming 10 points closer than the Bills did.
(McManus went to Duke, whose secondary would have found Moss to be a severe challenge.)
