A-Rod's free agency grinds money presses to a halt
Eighty-three hours without a post! See, I can stop whenever I want.
Well, not really. But I'm back now, after a mini-vacation in our nation's capital.
One highlight was a visit with the family to the Bureau of Engraving and Printing to watch money being printed, a tour I last took in April of 1968, before the free agency era.
I should have taken that into account, because many of the facilities were idle while we were there, with workers passing the time playing pinochle and ink congealing in the presses.
That's what happens when A-Rod is between contracts.
(Just kidding. But we did take the tour. It was interesting. You should check it out.)
