Better get used to it.....with the Jets in the tank we won't be getting any of the top teams doing Jet games for the remainder of the season...more of Ian Eagle and his kinow nothing color commentator, Gus Johnson and the former Bill, perhaps Don Criqui....maybe if we're lucky we'll get Kevin Harlan.

Johnson's screaming is tough to take. Watching the NFL Sunday Ticket package, I'm always amazed how many awful announcers are doing NFL games, especially the games only televised to a small percentage of the country.

There are a lot announcers like this out there. Mike Patrick on ESPN screams on every three yard run. First with anticipation of the offensive player breaking one for big yardage and then with praise for the great tackle made by the defender. EVERY play something amazing happens. In his world.

Ian Eagle was giving me Gus Johnson flashbacks yesterday. Same thing. The QB drops back and Eagle is SCREAMING:

"HE"S GOING FOR IT ALL, RIGHT HERE. OHHHHHH DEFLECTED AWAY. WHAT A PLAY BY THE DEFENSE."

I suppose I now owe Eagle royalty fees. YIKES.

I don't remember which announcers they were now but I saw at least three called TDs this weekend that weren't TDs at all. The ball is rolling around on the field as the offensive players are all dejected and Dick Stockton or someone is trying to convince me a TD was just scored.

How come none of these guys do golf?

"Hole in one for Tiger. What a shot. How does he do it. You down there Rog?"

"Ummmmm, that ball is in the bunker, Dick."

Gus Johnson screams worse on Knicks radiocasts. I guess he thinks its cool to scream. I really, really hate to say this but if he wasn't black, he wouldn't have the jobs he has, he's that bad. I take guys like Mark Jones, Tirico and Paul Olden (remember him?) over this clown any day of the week. They act professionally and let the game take the spotlight instead of themselves.

He isn't as bad as the team that did the Giants/Dolphins game. I knew it would be a long day when Johnston called Mitchell on the Giants Joey Porter on the first series Miami had the ball. Fine, he made that mistake, but at least acknowledge it. Siragusa is a waste of time. While the commissioner was in the booth he is "yucking it up" when Seubert recovered a Jacobs fumble, going on and on while the commissioner waits. That team is the absolute worst.

Anybody notice that the peckerhead Bill Simmons salivates over Gus Johnson? One schmuck deserves another.
