Breaking news: SNY adds new guy!
SNY has hired former ESPN anchor Kirk Gimenez to serve as an anchor and reporter. He will debut on "SportsNite'' Thursday.
Gimenez - a native of Venezuela who grew up in Miami - spent the past four years at ESPNEWS. Before that he worked at local stations in Miami and Washington, D.C.

that guy was terrible on espn
If he's terrible, then he'll fit right in with the rest of the team at SNY.
Yuck. This guy's schtick is over pronouncing every Latin players name and then saying what country they are in Spanish. While it might not sound like a bad thing it gets real annoying after a half an hour.
How about some more Julie Donaldson this Mets offseason. The "Mets Weekly" fix is not enough.
Give the guy a chance...And give SNY credit, they cover all sports, and i can go to their channel for scores and in-depth coverage without waiting 20 mins for ESPN to get to it...Plus Gary, Keith and Ron are the best broadcast team in America.
I don't know the contract status but SNY needs to free Steve Cangelosi and John Gianone from the clutches on Jimmy D. and get them on SNY as it is now I won't switch the channel on until March for Mets spring training
So you won't tune in to their Mets Hot Stove show? Should be an interesting off-season.
Last year the Mets Hot Stove Report on SNY consisted of 5 minuttes of Mets news and the rest Yankees and MLB minutia. Tat's the problem with SNY as we saw after the MEts last game of the season instead of a post mordem Mets post game show we got Jets Post Gmae YUCK!
sorry for the typos Suzyn Waldman was watching me type and started screaming GOODNESS GRACIOUS KRANEPOOL CAN NOT SPELL WITHOUT A SPELLCHECK!!!!!!!!!!!!

You write as if you work for the network. Please make it less obvious.
Worst. Hire. Ever.
I agree with Roman. I usually like the anchors at ESPN but Jiminez is horrible.
It seems that all the people posting on here about Kirk Gimenez are gringos. I bet the latin community in NYC will enjoy watching one of their own pronounce their favorite players names correctly. How would you like it Mr. Smith if someone pronounced your name wrong?
And you wonder why whites can't break that racist tag?
