Mike and Mike . . . and Mike
ESPN is going to use Mike Greenberg, Mike Golic and Mike Ditka Sept. 10 for the second game of its Monday Night Football kickoff weekend doubleheader between the Cards and Niners.
Bonnie Bernstein will work the sidelines.
Who knows where all this could lead? Remember that the doubleheader team last year, which featured analysts Dick Vermeil and Ron Jaworski, got rave reviews and indirectly helped Jaworski get the first team MNF gig in place of Joe Theismann.
The only two sports figures I've ever gotten autographs from since turning pro myself were Jaworski and Bernstein. The first was for my brother-in-law, an Eagles fan. (Sorry.) The second was for my daughter, who attended the same gymnastics academy as Bernstein once did.
No more autographs for me. They're even more unprofessional than hugs. (See below.)
