I have no idea whether this is a scoop or not, frankly, so I didn't label this breaking news, but I heard today that Duke Castiglione is going to get the full-time weekly sports anchor gig at Ch. 5.
Hofstra's own John Discepolo had the job until a while back, and for the past two months has been doing sports on the early morning news at Ch. 2, where Castiglione used to work.
Discepolo gets more air time in a day now than he did in a week at Ch. 5. Then again, I spend more time brushing my teeth and flossing in a day than Ch. 5 sometimes spends on sports in a week.

I watched Duke every now and again when he was on the early show at CBS. I never much cared for him then, and still don't. I couldn't put my finger on what it is I don't like about him - and then it hit me - I can't stomach receiving my sports news from a guy who has the same name as my neighbor's dog! LOL
