Foley Debuts at LI TNA Show, First Photo

Wrestling history was made tonight on Long Island when Mick Foley made his first
appearance at a TNA event.

Just before the night's main event between Samoa Joe and Kurt Angle, Jeremy Borash said Long Island's biggest TNA fan happened to be backstage. The crowd chanted for Foley, and he came out to "Born to Be Wild."

Dressed all in black with a leather vest, Foley slapped hands with fans around the ring, and then took the microphone by a ringside production table and said he was about to give "the most unusual entrance speech of all time... Jeremy, how do I get back to the dressing room."

Some fans chanted "Dewey" - the name of Foley's eldest son, and Mick seemed to get a kick out of it. He said this was only the second time his entire family attended a wrestling show together, so he asked if the fans would make it a memorable night for him and his family and chant the names of all his kids - and they did.

"Thank you so much. I would not be here if I didn't believe in this company," Foley said in closing. "I love the show and I'm looking to hopefully make a huge impact on TNA."

Foley never actually stepped in the ring.

What is Foleys legacy? This is just my oppinion but he is a showman plain and simple. I think its great how he worked his way up from being a jobber to developing the most unique character (himself) in the history of Wresting. The fact he has three OTHER personalities such as Dude, Cactus, and Mankind will be his legacy. That and falling from the Hell in the Cell. Foley going to TNA will do nothing for his legacy in less he is on the annouce table. He has lost more retirement matches then I can even remember. I have great respect for what he has done for the business and how he came into his own. I have great respect for him arguably single handedly turning the tide in the Monday Night Wars but his wrestling career is over. The only big amazing thing he could pull of in TNA is make a few catch phrases JR hasn't thought of yet. I really don't see this as a big deal and I am shocked wrestling sites are giving this as much press as they already have.

I hear TNA is designing a t-shirt for Foley that sounds pretty cool. On the front it will have a picture of a big pile of cash. Then on the back it will show a picture of his kids going to a good school.
