Alfonso's got me all nostalgic now, so I thought I'd share some of my favorite Nassau Coliseum memories.
My first-ever WWE live event was at Nassau in December 1992. Main event was new champ Bret Hart retaining against Ric Flair. There was also an IC Title match with Shawn Michaels defending against Randy Savage, and Savage slapped hands with me (I had a floor seat and was one of those young marks running to ringside before and after every match). Was a great experience. I also remember a show on Super Bowl Sunday in 1994. The "main event" -- and I use that term loosely -- was Lex Luger vs. Crush. Yikes.
One of my first backstage experiences came at a Nassau show in early 2001, May if I remember correctly. It was a Raw with Mick Foley bringing back Rikishi, who gave Stephanie McMahon a stinkface. And my first PPV with creative was the SummerSlam in 2002, with Brock beating Rock in the main event and Shawn Michaels' first match since WM 14.
Feel free to share your Nassau Coliseum memories on the comment board and in our live chat this Friday at noon ...

i used to go to the monthly or bi monthly coliseium shows in the glory days.
best memory is seeing Jesse the mind Ventura almost taking the title from the Hulkster in 85
i watched Mania I there on closed circut then had the honor of attending the worst Wrestlemania ever there 1 year later.
Those 4 matches are the worst for any venue in WM history. The main event of the piper T boxing match was a joke and the crowd was firmly behind the "Heel".
the other 3 matches were real snoozers
I was actually at an event in 89 where the only thing I remember was Beefcake with his newly cut hair. The reason I remember that was because he had a tiny section of his hair that was still long and he had that hanging for some reason and looked ridiculous.
I was also at the first Nitro in 98 and we all thought that was when the Warrior was gonna debut. I remember it being a very long show and we couldnt hear any of the in-ring segments b/c the sound system was horrible that night.
