Video: Interview with TNA's Kevin Nash

I caught up with the former "Big Daddy Cool" in the parking lot of Universal Studios at the conclusion of TNA's Saturday afternoon event on the weekend of WrestleMania. In this interview, Nash talks candidly about his thoughts on wrestlers from different companies fraternizing, his WrestleMania memories, the competitive environment in today's wrestling scene, and the distinction of being one of the fallen opponents in The Undertaker's 16-0 Mania winning streak.

Is it time to officially put Seth on a milk carton?I could have sworn this blog used to have hilarious stories about how much of a douchebag Triple H is.

I was just shocked that Big Kev didn't tear a quad during the interview.

Maybe Vince, Steph, or H found out about this blog and had him destroyed.

Seriously, when are we gonna get more of the backstage stories? I love the analysis of the shows and the insider stuff on what's happening now, but reading about how RVD and Brock were supposed to feud over the world title before H stepped in and had it handed to him was fascinating. Those stories of booking plans being changed are great because they spark a lot of discussion over whether creative made the right choice and all the "what if" scenarios that could've happened had creative gone the other way. Those stories are also great because they usually illustrate how disconnected WWE creative, and specifically Vince, are from the audience.
Also, I'd love to hear more analysis of TNA shows by Seth. That company has an extremely talented roster but Vince Russo and his booking style are single-handedly keeping them from being a legit competitor to WWE.

Based on the stories I'm going to guess that Seth might have gotten a letter from Mr. Levesque reminding him of a confidentiality agreement he signed. Or something of that nature. Although as the propietor of my own sporadically updated blog I can understand being to busy/lazy to update.

And the reason Big Sexy Giant Killer didn't hurt himself during this interview is because he was pretty much standing in one place. If this had been a walk and talk Kev would have gone down faster than Pat Patterson when he walks into La Resistance's locker room.

Hey Steel Cage Tag Champs,

I enjoyed your interview with Kevin Nash. The guy is down to earth about the buisness, and life in general it seems. I think competition always brings out the best in everyone, including Vince. The two brands (TNA, WWE) should be able to "fraternize", I don't see why not. This isn't the NFL. It's entertainment.
Benoit's text messeges are disturbing and shed light on the drug abuse in sports entertainment. It's sad it seems, though the WWE portrayed Eddie as "clean and sober", He and Benoit were abusing massive amounts of steroids. As NANCY said, "It's obvious...". It's sad, I witnessed Eddie's Last Match live in Indianapolis at Smackdown! vs. Ken Kennedy. I am proud to say I met Chris and Eddie and Chavo at the Gold's Gym in Indy at the Circle Centre Mall.
Cm Punk was friends with Benoit, and I hope he uses his DRUG-FREE lifestyle to influence kids who watch wrestling. It is a great sport that I Love and I don't want to see it RUINED BY DRUGS (though some may say it was BUILT ON DRUGS [STEROIDS]). It doesn't have to be this way.
I just finished watch UNFORGIVEN 2002. I thought it was a great overall PPV. The BROCK v. UNDERTAKER Match is underrated, in my opinion. The finish is balls, though. Who booked that?!?? And HLA was the worst thing I've ever seen on PPV. Who booked that?!??
Anyway, I throughly enjoy your guys blog and hope to hear a response!
Jack Spencer
