Yokozuna beat Bret for the belt at IX, then jobbed it to Hogan four seconds later.

I saw this on some blog I read, earlier this week.
In Bret's book, he says he was promised (by Vince) a long title run past WM and a summer program with Hogan. Of course neither happened.
The summer program of Bret-Hogan didn't happened because Hogan supposedly didn't wanted to drop the belt to Bret which would have happened at SummerSlam so Vince made him drop it to Yokozuna at the King of the Ring and the rest is history.
