So the main thing that qualifies me to be writing this wrestling blog (aside from having a pulse, of course) is the fact that I actually used to work for WWE.
During the summer of 1999 and the winter of 1999-2000, I interned for WWE.com, and from May 2000 to December 2002, I was a full-time employee, first for WWE.com and WWE Magazine, and then as an actual rank-and-file member of the WWE creative team. Yes, that WWE creative team.
Among the stuff that went down during my time on the creative team: John Cena's first rap, the splitting of the WWE Title into two separate titles, the first Elimination Chamber, the only Long Island Pay-Per-View of the past 20 years, the beginnings of Evolution (and the early careers of Randy Orton and Batista), the temporary extinction of the Intercontinental Title, the creation of the SmackDown Tag Title, and Brock Lesnar's first title reign.
Also during my time there: Katie Vick, the Billy & Chuck commitment ceremony and Al Wilson.
So if you have any questions about what goes on behind the scenes or what everyone's really like, post 'em below ... I'll answer as much as I can.

WWE made more money in 2007 than any other year in company history. And 2005 and 2006 are the 4th and 3rd best years, respectively, money-wise in WWE history. What Vince is giving, fans are buying. That's why things don't change.
Who came up with the idea to use Bischoff in the Commitment Ceremony? I actually liked that angle, and it was pulled off pretty well. Was that always the plan with Billy and Chuck, what other ideas did the writing staff have for the ceremony?

I'm curious about your dealings with the Undertaker. He's lasted nearly eighteen solid years in the company and he's seen big changes. Was he hostile to the idea of writers or was he confident that he could stay big in the company?

Why did you have Jericho and Flair fued during the summer of 02, with little to no mic work, and the Unforgiven rematch was a joke (Flair's goes onto turn on RVD later in the evening).

Why hasn't Shawn, who's come back better than HHH and anybody, including himself in his prime, not been given any title runs since the three week nostalgia trip one in late 2002? I kinda get the marketing younger guys argument, but Taker and BAts are the same age and keep getting the belt...why not HBK??
