Reality bites...
The Rangers won't face Jarkko 'The Chomper' Ruutu in Ottawa tomorrow because he's suspended two games for biting Sabres' Andrew Peters.
But maybe it's fortunate the Rangers don't face the Red Wings again.
This from the Detroit Free Press/Detroit News:
Chris Chelios admitted he bit Rangers forward Tomas Sandstrom when he played in Montreal. "We were in a fight and he tried to gouge my eyes. It was just a natural instinct to do that (bite). Plus the fact it was him. He was probably one of the most hated guys playing back then. Broke skin, blood, the whole works." Chelios didn't get suspended, fined or even receive an extra penalty for biting Sandstrom's finger. 'Terrible' Ted Lindsay said he couldn't fathom something like that happening when he played. "They were hockey players. They weren't meat eaters," Lindsay said of the guys he played with in the '40s, '50s and '60s....

Hate games like this. Rangers dominating and it's 1-1. Has to be disheartening.
Need that finisher. Wow, Gomez can't win a battle for the puck if his life depended
on it. Miller made a great save on a deflection.
We're generating chances though. Hopefully we'll finish in the 3rd.
Seems like every time we make the slightest mistake, the other team capitalizes. this is a frusterating game, but we should win this one as long as don't allow anymore turnovers. Miller is playing on his head and giving Buffalo a chance 'ya know \_ _

Lack of goals just emphasizes what a perfect game the Rangers have
to play to win. After dominating for 2 periods the Rangers are just hanging
on in the 3rd. You're right PIP. Just about every mistake ends up in our
net.
Rangers played a great road game but Miller stole that one.
Tonight was "Miller Time"....he simply won the game for them, and we really played a terrific road game too!
Time to relieve Renney of his job. His system is a failure. No scoring whatsover, even when dominating.
bob - right on the mark.
they can't score at all. even in the shootout.
i would say their offensive confidence is shot and that shows in some games when they get out of position in their own zone trying to cheat on a breakout. pinching d men alsoways get there before our wingers because they are looking to move up to create some offense. Renney's system is a total failure on both sides of the ice. He needs to go.
1 goal on 40+ shots? They have guys that have scored before. defensemen too.
can't fire all the players. replace the coach(es)!!
Great job by Valli.
