Sundin, if he plays is a free agent, no team has to give anything up for him.
Just thought I'd help Zipay answer that silly question.
Dude, the question was referring to the salary cap, and who we would need to dump in order to sign Sundin and stay under the cap.
Freedom is an understatement for not dealing with Jagr anymore isn't it? LOL
I bet many people around the organization sighed with relief the day he got the plane to Russia!

how much is TOO much to GIVE UP for Sundin was the question.
That is somebody believing we had to trade something to get Sundin.

..Got through at 12:33 and he answered at 12:35...and note to Dude:..guess Steve and I agree that we need that tough D man I have been asking for all along huh!!!!!!!!!! Now that we have a ligit Capt. on the PP, maybe Potter will be the one to come in and be that D man afterall. One of my questions was w/regard to regsitration and when we can expect it...no luck live so hopefully it'll be in place b 4 the reg season starts.

Effigy, don't get me wrong in no way was that a dig on Jagr. I like the guy and liked him with the Rangers.
My opinion to him leaving is thanks for your service and it's time to move on.
Jagr had a bit too much power around the organization.
Steve, not sure if this question was asked or not, but what will happen to about a dozen of players that won't make the team by a hair? Will some of them be traded immediately or will they all be rotting in Hartford for most of the season.

If you dont realize Pock stinks then you dont know hockey. He is a terrible defensive player who would be better suited on the wing. He gets caught up ice out of position and pinches way to much with little success. If you all bashed Ozolinsh how can you sit here advocating Pock? Oh wait because he is a kid in our system.. the same way dubinsky is the next coming of Messier.

zherdev may very well go back to Russia either way. can probably make a lot more money with no income tax
Pock filled in quite well when we played Atlanta in the playoffs. The guy can skate well & has a great shot. Last year we wasted so much on Backman, Malik & Mara, while Pock was left to rot in Hartford. Pock never really been given a chance dating back to his first full season with the Rangers.
Ozolinch was horrible playing in NY. I dont think there is any way you can compare the two.
Zherdev and Gomez will be just fine together...it might take some time, but then again, it might take some time for the entire team to mesh. I always look at the AllStar Break to decide which way we are headed. If things work out w/Gomez and Zherdev and he has a good season, I don't see him going anywhere....and NJ will not let Gionta go-that would be plain stupid!
