Up and running....

After a laptop tune-up Sunday, we are back up and running, pedal to the metal again.

My story in today's paper is down and over to the right under Rangers headlines with Jaromir Jagr speaking about the Penguins as a possible opponent, coach Tom Renney discussing second-round strategy and other items.

Will report from today's 11 a.m. practice later, although the major news of the day will come tonight when Philadelphia, Montreal or Boston could secure an invite to the East semis, possibly against the Rangers. (Actually, B's-Rangers can't happen) Washington, of course, needs two wins.

In the West, as you probably know, the defending champ Ducks are out (I thought they would get through this round at least) and Dallas and Detroit advanced last night.

More later...

quack quack... I sure am happy to see both the Ducks and the Wild out. I just cant stand teams with these horrible names. The Wild is probably the dumbest name for a sports team ever. Next thing you know Las Vegas will have a team and they'll be called the Las Vegas Really Hot ! Or the San Antonio Excitement.

I honestly cant believe that the people in Minn. voted their team name to be the Wild.

Backman is a disaster on the blue line.

Other than that. They look great.

Here's hoping Philadelphia and the Bruins win, setting up Pens/B's and Flyers/Rangers, so we can all go to the game and then get some cheesesteaks after.

I love cheesesteaks. Id be afraid that they would put something in mine though. Cause im a mets fan too, so im doubling up on the hatred. I am not a giants fan so no hat trick.

Hank, Vezina finalist again!! Not that he's going to win it though. The "fatso" he just completely outplayed will probably win it again.

Man, I love that news that Henrik is a finalist for the Vezina once again.

First 3 years in the NHL, Vezina finalist each time.

That is awesome news.

I think Nabakov will win it, but not a bad job for a guy playing goal behind a defense that has guys named Malik, Mara, Strudwick and backman!!!

Saw the stat today that the last 4 Stanley Cup winners have all lost in the first round of the playoffs the following season. The trend obviously continues.
