Pens will be tough birds

The Rangers need a split at Mellon, because they've controlled the Pens at MSG. Lundqvist will have to outplay Fleury, PK will need to step up. I'm guessing Orr will play at some point to counter Ruutu and Roberts.

At least nobody will be burning cars as in Montreal. I was starting to worry about where I would park the rental. Ah well, maybe next round.

Sharks up 5-3 as we speak.

Predictions? East, West?

Until tomorrah...

bobs got nothing better to do than complain.....

we will need a bit more edge on these guys zip, orr certainly has played better hockey over all than hollweg, would like to see him back in the line up

Bob,

actually how it works is, the presence of Orr in the lineup will be a deterrent against punks like Ruutu taking cheap shots against our star players.

It's hockey 101 boooob, errr, bob

ya fargin idiot

Yeah ok, Orr is going to scare the Penguins into not taking cheap shots on the Rangers star players. Dude, you are the real idiot. Sounds like you failed hockey 101 A hole. The Penguins won't even notice Orr if he's in the lineup. Leave the hockey talk to people who actualy know something about the sport.

I think Todd Fedoruk is still having nightmares.

what do you think?

If they let them play the Rangers will win in 6, if the officials decide the series it could be a short one for Rangers. Don't think it was a coincidence that Renney spent the practice time on PK's. He expects the Pens to get at least a 2 to 1 advantage on PP. The Pens didn't exactly light up the board on Rangers in PP's, it was the 5 on 3's that the Pens took advantage of. The real question is going to be how many 5 on 3's will the zebras give the Pens. I shutter to think that the series will be decided by the officials yet I can't help but beleive that the Bettman group wants the Pens in the finals so they can in thier small minds market the game. Of course the best marketing plan is to have a league that is founded on true competition, but Bettman comes from the Vince McMahon scholl of marketing as Bettman beleives that the league will be sold by his stars. Based upon the marginal numbers on VS and NBC it would appear that Bettman is DEAD wrong. No one seems to be interested in Syd or the NHL for that matter. Whne Bettman finally wakes up and realizes that htis is a regional sport followed by fan bases in their own regions he will realize that the only way to sell the game is to let the game sell itself through real competition. Based upon the Bettman profile the Rangers and Flyers have no chance of advancing. I sure hope I'm WRONG!

I think Orr will be a waste of a lineup spot. Leave Hollweg, who can actually skate fast enough to create some forechecking pressure, or put in Prucha.

The "deterrence" theory is the least accurate hockey strategy ever. Goons dont deter pests. The fear of getting punched by Orr will not stop Ruutu from doing anything. Just like the fear of getting punched by Laraque will not deter Avery from doing anything.

But Orr is a better player than Hollweg without the fighting, and my god, could we just stop with Prucha already.

Once again Dude proves he knows nothing about hockey.

Prucha is not very supportive of the D, so I probably would not include him...Orr, nahhhhhhhh, this series will be about hockey and playing hockey...had it been the flyers we were playing, I'd have Orr in. We need to concentrate on the PK, not taking a parade of penalities, closing down the lanes for the Kid, Malkin, Hossa and giving Hendrik a clear view of Gonchars shots for the point...we do these things and be successful on the pp, and everything will take care of itself...just continue to play them the way we did during the reg season, minus all the penalities.

just wanted to state that i am extremely proud of whichever moderator decided to delete the bob post. wish we could see some more of that action.
