And the hot topic this morning was Sean Avery's front-page appearance in one of those other papers, his name and cell-phone number having been listed in madam Kristin Davis' electronic black book.
Avery didn't deny the number was his, but chuckled about the possibility that he would be a regular client. "I certainly have a lot of enemies," he said, noting he's also had that cell-phone number for a while. "I do know that if I was to venture into one of those establishments, I wouldn't use my real name. I think that would be stating the obvious. We've been laughing hysterically over it all morning."
No one else asked about it had much to say, not even Jagr, who did joke that it must have been the first time hockey has been on the front page of a city paper ever (the '94 Cup run and a few of the Isles Cups were before his time).
Scott Gomez practiced fully and came through OK, so he seems to be a go for tomorrow's NBC game with the Pens. The lines: Straka-Dubinsky-Jagr, Avery-Gomez-Shanahan, Dawes-Drury-Callahan, Sjostrom-Hollweg-Prucha/Orr... Malik skated with Strudwick again, while Mara and Rozsival were paired up.

just wondering what happened to the avery,duby,jagr - shanny,gomez,dawes - Callahan-drury-straka lines ... whats the deal we havent been scoring as much as we did with these lines. Any thoughts !!!!!!!!!
that is prety funy what jagr said about the NY papers, its so true and its a damn shame that its like that. hockey will never be "front page" news unless its a bad news story (ie- bertuzzi hit/simon fiasco's).
dunno if anyone seen the pic of the chick he allegedly "bumped fuzzys" with, but she looks like a devil worshiper of some kind, she has an upside down cross pendant around her neck...maybe brouder is a client too, DEVIL worshiper (she worships devil players) get it?..lol..i know one thing, avery positively aint a devil worshiper at least..haha .

The '94 Rangers were before Jagr's time? Interesting. I guess Staple forgets Jagr putting the Pens on his back in '92 to beat the Rangers in the playoffs after Graves slashed Lemieux.

The only thing that surprises me is that Avery is apparently still trying to convince people that he's straight. lol
