Live from Montreal: Ryan Callahan here

With just 12---or perhaps fewer---healthy forwards, the question I've been asking coach Tom Renney for a week has been answered: Why not 13? Well, Right wing Ryan Callahan checked out of Hartford last night and was en route here.

Don't know exactly where Callahan, 22, who was sent to the Wolf Pack to recover his timing, will play, but perhaps achy Brendan Shanahan (hip, knee, back, hammy) or Nigel Dawes (knee) will rest. If it is Dawes who's out, assume Callahan would skate with Chris Drury and Peter Prucha.

Callahan (7-8-15, plus-7 in 11 AHL games) appears to have bounced back from an early December knee sprain that slowed his speed and confidence.

Stay tuned for what Renney has to say at about noon....
