Yep. It looks like there will be NO off-season for the Islanders this year as they have PLENTY on their calendar! Innovative idea, don't you think? Worst organization? Are you referring to Cablevision?
No one outside of a few loyalists on the Island could care less about the Islanders. Years of bad management , rivalry with rags has toned down and no guts on the ice are the culprits.
Think back to this year--we'd see a game with a fight once a month and Howie Rose would say "Old time Hockey Is Back". Yea, Howie, because the present sucks. We need hard , physical players to play this mythical "Nolan system". We need more than adding a Godard--we need 5 more players with grit.

Hey, another day for Islander fans to talk about the Rangers. Maybe Newsday can catch up with Gord Lane to see what he thinks of the Ranger-Pens series?. I think we've heard from all the other ex-Isles. And maybe Newsday can interview another Isles rookie and revolve the interview around the Isles rivalry with the Rangers.
See when you don't make the playoffs, you need to talk about other teams. I mean, Gillies certaintly doesn't have the feeble Islanders to talk about.

I don't think its possible to be embarrassed when you make it to the elite 8. Yes, the Rangers were one of the team predicted to win the Cup. I'm not sure why Isles fans take solice in this. Isles fans are like, we were bad, but we were supposed to be bad. Like, ooooh, does raise the stakes too high, LOL. The Isles have been god awful for two decades, haven't won a playoff series in 15 years..... of course the expectations will be low, LOL! They'll be low agian next year. And for some unknown reason, Islander fans will be comforted by this. LOL. Looooooooosers!

great you made it to the playoffs. terrific. wonderful. but that is your only satisfaction. your team won't go any further. your young guys are just not that good. they look great, because of gomez, jagr, drury. but as it shows. shut down gomez and drury, and where are you, down 3-1...only reason you win one game, was because of henrik, and ofcourse jagr. who prob won't be back next year. soon henrik will have to do it all by himself, cause your defense really hasn't been overly impressive.
