The 101st Millrose Games started slow, but ended with a bang for Long Island. Half Hollow Hills West senior Kyle Merber took first in the boy's mile in 4:13.86. The Kellenberg boy's 4x800-meter relay team won its second straight CHSAA 4x800-relay title at the games behind the strong running of twin brothers Tom and Michael Elnick.
In other events; Roslyn's Emily Lipari took seventh (5:03.7) in the girl's mile... Bayshore took fourth (4:06.88) and Hempstead (4:13) took sixth in the girl's 4x400 Suburban relay...Bellport finished third (3:32.47) in the boy's 4x400 Suburban relay and Hempstead took sixth (3:34.62).,.In the girl's CHSAA 4x400 relay, Kellenberg took second (4:06.42) and St. Anthony's was sixth (4:18.65)...Westhampton Beach's Leah Buletti took fourth (7:29.84) in the 1-mile race-walk.
