Scansarole A Real Hero
Hey everyone, be sure to check out this week's girls lacrosse insider by Marc Jimenez on Division coach Lisa Scansarole, who recovered from a horrific accident and has been a great inspiration to her team.
Also, check out my sidebar on yesterday's West Babylon-Northport game, which turned out to be a classic.
In the story, I mentioned a crucial assist Shannon Smith made off of a forced turnover, and you can see that play on the video from yesterday's game at the 1:20 mark (you can also see Shannon's N-Zone athlete of the week video here).
Quite an impressive play by the All-American senior.
Aside from Smith, the one thing that impressed me about West Babylon was the contributions of its role players—Chelsea Retaleato, Jocelyn Dawson and Katie Harrison, who have done a nice job playing off Smith this season.
Along with the insider is, two players of the week from each county and team rankings.
