No. 1 St. John the Baptist (21-4) vs. No. 2 Holy Trinity (19-6): Holy Trinity has overcome season-ending injuries to its top three reserves to reach the championship game. The teams met twice in the regular season and each game was a tight defensive, physical battle. Junior Terry Green is a good rebounder, and can score inside or step out and hit the three. Julia Finlay, wh will play at UNC Wilmington, played with a 101-degree fever in the semifinals and hit a key three-pointer to give Holy Trinity a four-point lead midway throught the fourth quarter in a 55-42 win over St. Anthony's. Caitlin Costello had 20 points, 10 rebounds and five assists. Holy Trinity can not afford to get into early foul trouble with a depleted bench. The Titans played just six players in the semifinals. St. John the Baptist aims to become the first NSCHSAA team to win five consecutive championships. Christine Huber, a 6-4 junior, is a force inside and draws attention under the basket, which opens the perimeter for point guard Dani Iervolino, who will play at Northeastern. Kathryn Cronin is a good rebounder and C.W. Post-bound Felicia Joyner is quick and athletic. St. John the Baptist didn't look sharp after a 17-2 first quarter in a 37-19 win over Kellenberg in the semifinals. SJB has waited for this game all season and should put forth a much better performance. PICK: St. John the Baptist
