Nassau Class A revisited

BY ADAM RONIS

Did you really think we would go the rest of the night without touching upon Nassau Class A again? No way. Garden City has had a wild season and it continued tonight with a 49-48 win over Roslyn. This comes on the heels of a 67-50 loss to Island Trees (2-7).

Garden City beat Roosevelt, 58-57, on Jan. 15 and Roosevelt is one of the hottest teams. Before that game, Garden City lost to South Side, 52-42. It just shows how tough it has been with the ability-grouping schedule. It's very difficult to determine what you will get from a team on a nightly basis.

Malverne, a Class B school playing all A schools, has struggled, but beat Division (5-4), 59-37, tonight. Malverne is 2-7, but should be well prepared for the postseason with the schedule it is playing.
