Baldwin Gets By Hills West...

It's official: Baldwin has defeated Hills West, 50-46, in the Long Island Class AA final at SUNY Old Westbury.

It was a seesaw battle throughout, but guard Chris Mauldin's three-pointer in the final minutes put the Bruins up 48-46. Then the Baldwin guard hit two-of-four free-throws over the last 27.6 seconds of the game to seal the victory.

Mauldin finished with 11 points, while Chris Manning scored 12. Tobias Harris led Hills West with 25 points.

I am a graduate of Hempstead High School and I am looking forward to seeing Coach Burton and the Baldwin team play this weekend. I was the point guard for the Hempstead team that beat Baldwin Coach Burton's senior year and I wish them the best of luck!!!!
