why is st dominics still sixth?they just swept the reining champions chaminade.also how does syosset climb back into the rankings and take 4th. theyre barally over 500 and have one big win that but east meadow back down to earth and looks like back down to the back end of the standings in the league.how do you guys come to the descions on these rankings?

Ability based grouping. The new system means that we've gotta look at teams like Syosset through a completely different perspective. Sure, they're hovering around .500, but they're hovering around .500 against the best opponents in Nassau. If it weren't for Massapequa winning all the time, there'd be a very real chance of the AA-I winner being a .500 team. And remember, these are teams that can dance with anyone in the state. Syosset beat Mepham and won two out of three from a previously undefeated East Meadow. As for St. Doms, they're still in sixth because Chaminade hasn't won a game yet all season. Until Chaminade can prove it can beat someone, a sweep isn't going to mean as much as it probably should.

very tru and i didnt take that into consideration.how does this playoff thing workout now that they put every good team in nassau in the same conference?because i heard that all teams in those conferences like glen cove all they have to do is win 2 games and they're in the playoffs.is that true or not?

It's actually really weird and pretty complicated. I've had it explained to me a few times and I'm still a little fuzzy. Every team in AA-I, AA-II, ABC-I, ABC-II and I think maybe ABC-III is automatically in the post-season, no questions asked. I know the top team in AA-III gets a spot, but I'm unsure about the ABC division. There, I think the top team in ABC-IV and V gets in. After that, it gets really odd. The top team in ABC-VII and AA-IV only gets in if they have a really high winning percentage and the same goes for ABC-IV. If that doesn't happen, they just tag the second place team from AA-III and ABC-VI. In other words, Glen Cove can sit on its laurels, because the team's been in before the season even started.

that looks so confusing they were better off keeping the old way
