Florida wins another title...Go figure

The rankings are out, and I'm not talking about the preseason polls.

I'm talking about Princeton Review's ranking of the nation's top party schools.

Atop the list is Florida. This shouldn't be really surpirsing. The recent football and basketball titles are plenty reason to celebrate. And what's that they say? "It's great to be a Flor-ida Gator."

The fellows over at The Final Score have the rest of the Top 20. My fellow Hokies didn't funnel enough beverages to make the list, but Mike's friends did...Something he's already fistpumped about.

Isn't the worlds largest outdoor cocktail party held semi-annually on the campus of U of F?

It's great to see my Mountaineers slipping down the list, the annual honor was getting to be more of an embarrassment than a source of pride.

Paul, I do see ASU prominently on these lists, particularly the one compiled by Playboy.

I am saddened that ASU has fallen to 17th. When I was there, we were top three. (laughing) There are many nights I only have vague memories about, if at all.

The world's largest outdoor cocktail party, which is no longer the official name, is played annually in Jacksonville.

I have actually attended this as a fan. Spur of the moment road trip my senior year of college -- Tech had an off weekend.

I did not make it to the game, however. The Landing, the epicenter for social activities in downtown Jax, got the best of me that weekend. Some great stories, though.

Still, both schools prove their weight in partying that weekend, be it a neutral site.

I spent so many nights partying, and I was not even a person that lived on campus. At least that is not where my bed was. Have at least a half a dozen wacky stories, that I can remember, of course, being 44, married and three kids, those days are over. My wife finds it amazing as she has never seen me have more than one or two beers in any given situation, fortunately, I still have many witnesses that I am friends with.
