2007 Preseason Top 25: No. 23 Hawaii

By Adam Abramson

I've always been jealous of the University of Hawaii mostly because I went to school in the mountains. Yeah, we had water, but it was an ice-cold river. If I played football at Hawaii and lost a game, I'd just retreat to my private beach until I had to report to class or film study, or whatever they do in Hawaii that constitutes responsibility. After every win? Pigger.

Gunslinger Colt Brennan and his handful of talented receivers are going to flat-out shatter offensive records this season if the replacements at both tackle positions are serviceable. Big boy Nate Ilaoa is gone at running back, which could also hurt Brennan's productivity. However, it's safe to say the light has gone off in the offensive meetings out West.

I'll only say this about a defense not worth bragging over: show up, tackle, make it respectable and have fun watching the offense.

A conference title and a bowl game in the Continental U.S. is a very successful season for the Warriors. Of course, all of this will likely boil down to the Nov. 23 game in Boise. As Bill Murray said in Groundhog Day: "It's gonna be cold, it's gonna be grey, and it's gonna last you for the rest of your life."

Player I would shred you with on NCAA Football 2008: Colt Brennan (offense style is perfect for my game)

80s theme song: "You Shook Me All Night Long" - AC/DC (1986) ... With that passing attack on your TV at 3 a.m., how could I pass it up? Also, get used to the AC/DC songs, it's not my fault they rocked so much for so long.

Save the date: November 23 vs. Boise State

25. Boston College; 24. UCLA
