And now, for this year's Jets practice squad
Not to take attention away from the popular prophylactic story in the previous blog post, but here's your Jets practice squad:

Coaches love him despite 2 drops. Here's one for the IVY's!
LB Brandon Renkart, Don't know anything about him. Rutgers??????
Hopefully Daniels & McChesney show more potential than Bender.
Erik, thanks for responding. I am looking forward to the live chat tomorrow!
I am pumped for Sunday! Go Jets !
Thanks as always Erik for the quick update. I personally would have kept Bender over McChesney, but I like all the other guys on there. I'm especially glad Caulcrick made it.
kyle devan gets screwed again
Had a brain fart, we couldn't of kept Bender because the Pats got him on waivers, so putting him on the PS would have been impossible.
Erik,
Would you prefer they sign Wilson or Lynch?
Tomorrow's my birthday. Goin' golfin', won't be around for the chat. My only question for tommorow; What's the over/under for Hank Poteat getting re-signed by the Jets?
Are we going to get a summary of the conference call ?
JetsFanDan, I have them all the time. They're called my blog posts.
Ira, I'd lean toward Wilson because of his age. I just have to think Lynch doesn't have much left. He might have an unspoken deal to go back with the Pats but if he was such a standout since they signed him, they wouldn't have released him and taken the chance of him getting scooped up elsewhere. That said, if the Jets could make it work salary-cap-wise - and they are working to get him - he's not a bad pickup. Bottom line: they need the help at the position.
Darrell, golf, I found, is a dangerous word to use on this blog. Don't let John Z see that. Happy B-day nonetheless!
Jake, what kind of blog do you think this is? (don't answer that I guess). Of course we'll have a summary.
I'm really happy that Caulcrick made the PS. I could see him taking over for Tony Richardson at FB when he retires in a year or two.
Erik, Your're right. They can't feel to good about Smith and Elam if they are close to signing a 37 yr old safety. I would prefer Wilson. But Lynch you think would still be an upgrade from what they have now. Looking way ahead to next year. Their 1st pick hopefully in rd #2 will be a safety.
I don't think safety should or will be our first pick next year just based on the simple fact that you can find serviceable to good safetys later in teh draft. We also have a big need for a DE like Tyson Jackson, and maybe a QB depending on how the FO feels. I wouldn't mind taking a Safety with our 2nd pick though.
I can't find it here, What happened to Clowney?
Gentlemen...Don't get too excited, anyone available was cut for a reason. Lynch had a great career, but BB wouldn't cut him if there was something left in the tank.
Crazy Eddie, Clowney made the 53-man roster. My guess is he'll be inactive the first couple games or so. But he's there.
