And, incidentally, Ty Law was fat and lazy last time he was with the Jets. Why bring him back for a salary as bloated as he is? I thought Carroll has played pretty well, and we have Lowery and Miller. Bringing that tub Law back seems to me a waste of time and money.

I was fairly critical of Ty Law’s attitude in a recent post, but I must say this about the former Chief, former Jet and former Patriot: He played pretty well last season in Kansas City.

According to the good folks at STATS, LLC, Law was targeted 75 times in 2007 and “burned” 38 times, a ratio of 50.7 percent. That was the 11th-best ratio out of the 72 corners that were targeted a minimum of 60 times last season.

What about penalties, you ask?

In 2005, Law racked up a lot of flags with the Jets, fueling speculation that he couldn’t adjust to the league’s crackdown on illegal contact _ aka The Ty Law Rule. Well, according to STATS, Law had only two penalties last season - one defensive holding and one pass interference.

Hmm, not bad.

Gut feeling: Law is using the Jets to stimulate interest from the Patriots. In the end, he’ll do what most players do - he’ll take the most money.

John Z, although you weren't asking me I thought I might offer my opinion to your question. To improve the ground game they have got to have O-linemen that have the mentality for the run. I think having Favre back there has them really focusing on pass protection (nobody wants to be responsible for getting the HOF franchise hurt). I think they get comfortable with him and start developing the chemistry that Favre talks about and then you see improvement. Watching Faneca and even that slug Moore flying downfield on the WR screen against the Giants was pretty and hopefully a sign of things to come. Brick and mangold should improve and I expect a solid running attack this year.

Just got back today I have a lot of catching up to do. My friend has been studying this PSL plan and he was telling me that people who have seats in the lower tiers will be able to move to the upper bowl if they do not want to pay for the PSL, based on how long you have had your tickets. So that means that the upper seats will be given out by seniority of how many years you have owned your tickets. It may also mean that if you had 50 yard line seats, and only owned those tickets for 5 years, you will be moved or lose your seats in the upper bowl to people who have seniority over you. I do not know how true this is I am just going by what he told me. If I stated anything wrong please clarify this plan because it sounds like one big mess. tia
