Bob Glauber, who never falls asleep, had this posted at the crack of dawn. The short of it is Tom Brady, in a radio interview yesterday, said he respected most teams in the league but not all.
Asked which team he didn't respect, Brady said, “There’s four letters in their name.”
The show's host, Glenn Ordway, providing the follow-up that should cut down significantly on "Spygate" questions leading up to the first Jets/Patriots matchup this season, said, “Those green guys?”
Brady laughed, "Yeah, exactly.”

Is there an element of silliness to this as a "controversy"? Of course. The only surprise is Brady, normally cautious with the media, called out another team, and a division opponent at that. Whatever. No news that the Patriots don't like the Jets.

I used to have a lot of respect for Brady, but I think the guy has changed for the worst a couple years ago. The man is a great player and I wish we had him, but he's way too smug now.
Hopefully Gholston and Pace knock him around this season.
Yup. Can't wait for Tommy-boy to meet Mr. Gholston up-close and personal. Anyways, I'm not too concerned with the respect of some scumbag who cheats on and off the field. I'm glad Tommy-boy don't like us. Wonder if those comments will make it onto a certain bulletin board, or maybe on some lockers.

Ya know what's most interesting to me about Tom Brady? He was a backup in college. Drew Henson, Triple A third baseman for the New York Yankees started in front of him. Then, miraculously, he comes out of nowhere and joins Bellidouche and starts playing incredible? My favorite quote of his was after the superbowl win against the Rams when he said "It's easy to win when your coach tells you where to throw the ball". Ironic right? Brady's just a puppet for the Cheaters...I'd love to see him on another team, he can't even hold a candle to Peyton and there is no reason why he should ever be considered on the same tier as Peyton. Switch up where the two guys are and Peyton would've had a season without an interception if he had Bellechek telling him everything.
Considering how badly the Giants romped him last year, you'd think he'd want to watch his mouth. I wouldn't be surprised if every team starts gunning for him this year.

Oh... and enjoy it while it lasts, Tommy. History has shown us time and again, there are teams that can dominate for a few years. They'll do something new, maybe just something better, than the rest. Eventually, the playbook will be written on how to dismantle their approach. **cough, cough- see AFC Champ. game '06 & SB '07** The time is coming, you metrosexual poster-boy. This too, shall pass.
Waiting in the wings are 31 other teams gunning for the 'big show'. They all know they have to go through you to get there. And the secret's out: You smack pretty boy in the mouth a couple times, and the chin strap gets ripped off in disgust and you fold. You thought old man-Strahan hurt? Wait'll you get a load of Vern. And Moss, well he's quiet and content while the winnings going on, but history also tells us that Superbowl LOSERS often have a difficult encore. We'll see how much the leopard has changed his spots. Just sayin'.
You Jets fans are just bitter of the Pats success and that BB quit your cr***y team after just one day. Mangeni was exposed as the inexperienced loser that he is this year after being worshiped for one 10 win season. And oh yeah, thanks again Mo Lewis.

That just goes to show how deep we are in their heads. Any Jets fans here go perusing Patriots blogs? I know I don't. I guess it's what you do when you have to keep looking over your shoulder... just knowing it's coming.
Let me see if I have this straight:
The Pats got caught cheating. Their organization has claimed they misinterpreted the rules, but have conceded that their conduct was against those rules, and have apologized and vowed never to do it again. They have also been penalized to an unprecedented degree, and have accepted that punishment without public protest.
If Tom Brady should lack respect for anyone, it should be for his own head coach and coaching staff who engaged in this cheating. They are the ones who have tainted the accomplishments of Brady and his teammates. If you do the crime, you must do the time.
Brady should keep his mouth shut rather than blaming others for the misdeeds of his own organization. He is diminishing himself by minimizing what the Pats admittedly did. And by gratuitously calling out the Jets he comes across as petty and vindictive.
Why should Brady be so sensitive to the perception that, but for the cheating, the Pats would not have won those Super Bowls? Maybe because there might be some truth to it?
How ever will I sleep tonight now that I know Tom Brady doesn't respect the Jets? How ridiculous...No one in the Jets is faced with questions about cheating, or whether or not their accomplishments should be called into question as a result.
It was an embarrassment, and it exposed what most people thought to be a classy organization for what it truly is...a collection of cheaters.

It's one thing to say you don't LIKE another team. But to say you don't RESPECT them? That's just bad sportsmanship. Not to mention a total lack of class. But then, we know the organization isn't sportsmanlike, and Brady isn't classy. So no surprises there.
Since when do arrogant cheaters feel shame or embarrassment? Wouldn't it be natural for them to disrespect the ones that have shown themselves different by competing honorably?
Maybe this is the year that history repeats itself when a certain NE starting QB gets knocked out of a game by a Jet defender.
Everyone remembers high school and they remember that one arrogant kid who had everything in life fall into their laps? Well, Tom Brady is that kid and that's exactly what happened to him. Brady came in at a completely opportune time and sure, he's a decent QB, but he's not as good as everyone claims him to be. His TD-INT ratio last year was absurd and if that doesn't scream out "cheating" I don't know what does.
Peyton had arguably one of the best years of any QB a few years back and he still posted (I believe at least) double digit INTs. How can you explain Brady's stats last year? VIDEOTAPES. He knew where the defense would be and he knew where he needed to go prior to the play. Another thing is that the Pats' OL is NOT as good as everyone claims and the Superbowl showed it.
Pats fans will always have something to cheer about but this wont keep happening for long (Plus, how many times have we run into a "Pats" fan and they can't even name more than 3 players Bruschi, Brady and Moss? They're all a bunch of Massholes).
I don't understand why even now, the perception of the patriots by and large is that they are such a classy organization. This is just another example of how classless they really are. Can you imagine a true class-act like say Joe Montana going on his local radio station and declaring his lack of respect for another team? Classless, classless move...
