A Vernon Gholston update
No, the No. 6 overall pick is not here but Eric Mangini just cleared up a bit of the confusion regarding exactly when Gholston will be at Hofstra. Gholston will report to the Jets June 6, meaning the outside linebacker will be able to participate in the team's minicamp. Ok, we're headed outside for practice, with a full report to follow.

Most interested in Leon Washington. Is he getting reps at RB?
Was hoping for a larger roll for the best playmaker on the team, but with all the additions at RB appears he will need to reach his potential elsewhere.
Mangini's biggest sin to date is not getting him the ball.
Wayne, I agree 100%. There is no excuse for not getting Leon at least 15 touches a game. If that doesn't improve this season, I think the coaching staff will wind up regretting it.
In my opinion, none of the offseason additions at running back should pose a threat to Washington. Thomas Jones should still receive his 20 carries, and Schottenheimer should find a way to get Leon 10 carries and 5 receptions per game.
eric...puhleeze...an ota update
dundi, it's all yours...seconds, I believe after you asked for it
Do you think the Jets could have actually mastered a screen pass play with all the QB pressure they were under last year. This is a perfect way to get Leon the ball.
