I know what you’re thinking. Who’s gonna start? Well, both guys were out on the field warming up and both looked pretty good. So whether the Jets go with Ben Graham or Jeremy Kapinos as their punter is truly a game-time decision.
Update on that: Graham is inactive and it’s Kapinos’ job today. Just what the Jets need: a punter controversy. I guess they really need to see what they have in Kapinos before they head into the offseason. Mangini will just say that Kapinos gives the Jets the best chance to win.
As for the other controversy -- the REAL one -- Kellen Clemens was on the field earlier and looked pretty good. He probably didn’t get the reps that Mangini wanted him to during the week, but we only saw him for 30 minutes. Still, it’d be pretty rotten of the Jets to trot Chad Pennington out for a media session and then not play him.
Chad, by the way, hasn’t been spotted out warming up on the field. Hmmm. I guess the quarterback will be a gametime decision.
I’ll pop back a little later with the inactives.
