Veteran guard Pete Kendall addressed the media after practice today and told reporters that he wants to be traded or released from his current Jets contract. He gave a timeline of events since the end of the season that Kendall said brought him and the team to this point. Kendall said it is too early to say whether he will attend training camp in July, but he did have reservations about coming in for this weekend's mandatory minicamp. He also said he was in attendance for some of the early OTAs, but quickly realized that the contract situation was not going to be resolved so he left. He said the bridge is "not entirely burned" but made it clear that he is not happy to be here.
More later.

Get him out of here. Handing out big-money contract extensions to 34-year-old guards is absurd and diturbingly Bradwayesque. No more Testaverde/Chrebet/Martin Ks, please.
Whatever happened to honoring a contract that you voluntarily signed?
What verteran do we get to replace him and help our youing guys out? I read that Andruzzi isn't an option any more.
The Jets learned from the big money handed to 30-plus lineman Fabini and Mawae as a knee jerk reaction after losing Randy Thomas to the Redskins. They won;t make the same mistake. When Kendall sees the market for 34 year old non-pro Bowl Guards he'll be back or soon looking for work like Trey Teague.
Is Teague still on the roster?
i say send him on his way. these guys make me laugh they dont honor there contract and they already want more money before its up. but when they play bad its not ok for the team to cut them before there contract is up. Play out your contract then prove your worth more money.
