Heart attack now, news at 11
I very nearly collapsed just a few minutes ago. Let me set the scene for you.
I'm sitting here writing and blogging and getting a jump on all of the stories that will be done this week. Wife is sitting in an adjacent room watching television. I hang up the phone with the Newsday desk folks after calling in a detail for a story and I hear, from the TV, this phrase from a newscaster as the show comes back after commercial:
"Shocking developments in the Plaxico Burress saga! Details at 11!"
Needless to say I jumped from my seat and ran into the TV room. "What did he just say? About Plaxico?"
Wife stares at my suddenly flush face. Then wife laughs. Turns out she's catching up on some older shows that she has on our TiFaux (that's what we call our generic DVR, a TiVo knockoff). The "shocking developments" were from a month ago.
Great. Now I'm having flashbacks.

Deep Breaths T-Rock. Deep Breaths.
Here is a nice story on Plax. He does have a good heart.
We really could use him on Sunday vs. the eagles. Darn it!

That's not right, toying with you before the big game.
hey, Why didn't ya have a heart attack and get it over with, with these wasted and useless stories.... maybe that way we'd get a real interesting story....
