Giants 20, Redskins 6.
Here's why:
-- Todd Collins. Todd Collins!!! You know, I make these predictions, and sometimes I'm just convinced certain things will happen. Like when the 49ers were in town, I just thought Trent Dilfer would come to play. Instead, he left wearing a Pink Floyd t-shirt. Now, a guy who hasn't started a game in 10 FRICKIN YEARS is coming to town, with a team that actually has a chance to make the playoffs. How could anyone pick the Redskins?
Of course, if this guy lights up the Giants, every commentator, every writer, every fatalistic Giants fan will say the Giants are weak. What I'll say is this: Todd Collins?!? Are you kidding?
-- Giants D-line vs. Skins O-line. No Jon Jansen, no Randy Thomas on the Skins line. Yes, they have Chris Samuels, but that only means Osi will have a tough day and he'll get run at a lot. Can't see this matchup benefitting Todd Collins (!!!). Bet on Antwan Randle-El throwing at least one pass.
-- No Gibril, no problem. If Collins (!!!) has any chance to hit some plays, he's going to be throwing quick. Michael Johnson and Craig Dahl showed an ability to make containment stops in Philly and that's mostly what I think they'll have to do tomorrow night. Bigger responsibilities for the LBs, who have been playing well -- funny how Reggie Torbor, whom we all (myself included) labeled a bust, has pretty seamlessly fit into the scheme.
-- The run game. I'm guessing the Giants will run the ball 35-40 times, with a stiff wind projected for tomorrow night -- I'm not in love with Eli throwing the ball all over the place with the wind kicking up. If Jacobs hangs onto the ball and, maybe more important for me, if Ahmad Bradshaw gets a few touches, I don't think the Skins very respectable defense will keep up.
I'm not seeing a tremendous night for the offense, but a defensive score and some more dominance by that unit adds up to 10-4 and a playoff berth. Which, despite my accuracy predicting the individual games, means I'm an idiot, because I said this team would be 7-9.
Of course, very few of you disputed me...

If you are going to the game tomorrow, please bring an unwrapped toy for a child in need this holiday season. If you don't know a needy kid, just bring one of those toy footballs for Eli. He needs something small enough to handle...
Yea, I agree with you Arthur, keep it on the ground
Would also definitly like Bradshaw to get some touches as well, if not to give Jacobs a rest, atleast see what Bradshaw can handle, hopefully his blocking has improved a bit
Guess ill say Giants 24, Redskins 7
Hopefully the offense will start fast, and finish some drives
Would also like to see some turnovers from the defense, cut down on that turnover margin.
Its funny, I keep wanting S. Smith to play, but with the weather sunday, he wont be needed as much, but maybe just to get some more experience at there, and improve on QB-reciever relationship
Hey Arthur, I know nobody likes to look at the future, but if the Giants clinched the playoffs, maybe even the first seed too, and the Pat's role into town 15-0, Do you think the Giants starters will be out there?
Im 50-50 on the subject. I know the coach would want to rest them, but the owner might be looking at the history part of it, saying if the Pats go undefeated they had earn each game, nothing was given
A large silent majority could not figure out how the local and national media could predict Eli would not make the play-offs. Still reading about how he is the 25th best QB in the NFL. Three years as a starter, three straight play-off appearances. Does this media bias have to do with the draft snub?
No. It has to do with the fact that he's a backup (at best) disguised as a starter. Instead of expressing outrage at the accurate assessment they present of Eli, you would be doing your team (and mine) a better service by expressing outrage at the 9 million dollar paycheck Eli cashes.
Another backup QB sears the G-men.
Sorry, Arthur but since the Giants talkback section is so terrible, I'm going to air my spleen on the blog.
Just got finished watching the first half of the Giants/Redskins game and all I can say is that TC may have bought himself another year, but PLEASE, PLEASE FIRE GILBRIDE!!!
His play calling decision are atrocious. Passing on first down constantly. Throwing long bombs like Hair Marys on 3rd and 1. This team has a gift-wrapped opportunity to not HAVE to go to Buffalo and win a game, or worse yet, win at home against the Pats, and they're completely blowing it!
Can't stand watching the play calling on this team anymore. Being a Giant fan is almost worse than being a Red Sox fan. How did I know the Giants were gonna blow this chance.
Then TC has the nerve to try and implore the crowd to get in the game. How about imploring your team to get in the game!! GOD!!

8:15 p.m. game on Sunday night. Christmas season. Cold as ice. Heading toward third straight home loss. It is about to be one heck of an empty stadium.
We are going to end the season with four straight home losses. Pitiful. Looks like this game in Buffalo next week is going to be a must-win lest we want to back into the playoffs. Considering the Bills have a similar running game and the weather conditions will be similar, it won't be easy.

Sorry about posting that thing so many times; I don't know how I managed to do that. Complete accident.
Now they just went right down the field to open the half for a score. 22-3. Did I mention I hate the Giants?
