TC is holding Pierce out of practice today with that "mild" concussion, even though there's no such thing. I could go into painstaking detail, but basically, a concussion is a concussion. He could certainly be back for the game Sunday, but these things aren't subject to the mild/major scale anymore. Have to wait and see.
I thought Pierce got poked in the eye on Sunday, but I guess he got his bell rung when he missed a play.
Plax is out of practice and Steve Smith (hamstring) may already be out for Sunday; TC said there was little improvement on Smith's hammy, and the rookie needs to practice in order to play. No word yet on Derrick Ward, whose role as a receiving option out of the backfield can't be underestimated anymore with Plax's effectiveness on the decline.
More after practice.

Who cares if Smith doesn't play, Eli will never throw to him. During the games he never looks at the 3rd WR. The reason the numbers are so bad isn't the fact that they are not getting open. Eli never looks that way. First is Burress, then Toomer then throw the ball away if Shockey isn't going out for a pass. Either the play is never designed for the 3rd WR to get open or Eli never looks there.
Coughlin need to design (or use) more plays for a 3rd WR to open up the offense a little more. Eli needs to step out of the box and spread this offense more. Moss sucks, so Smith is the only other option. Toomer needs more balls thrown his way stupid..............I mean Eli!
Pierce would be a huge loss, I hope he can play.
Steve Smith is turning into the new Sinorice Moss with all these injuries.
I was happy to read your piece that backed up Eli. You really hit on alot of valid points.
Us Giant fans need to support Eli, not tear at him. When the game slows donw more for him, he is going to be awesome!
