Let's all calm down over there on the comment board... We all make mistakes. Lord knows I make most of them around here.
Anyway, there's a game tomorrow... I'm 2-for-2 in blog predictions so far, so listen up! Here's what I think:
-- The Giants offense is not in sync, but is still better than the Jets offense. Brandon Jacobs' return adds a different look, and the thunder-and-lightning thing with Derrick Ward could be interesting. With Jacobs in there to protect Eli Manning -- Jacobs has become a very good blocker -- that could free up Shockey to catch some more passes. And, maybe, spike some more balls. We'll see if he's still on the Most Wanted list.
-- The Giants defense is in sync, and is subsequently better than the Jets defense. Even a less-than-100 percent Osi will eat up D'Brickashaw Ferguson, and the soft interior should be cake for Tuck and Kiwanuka. Pennington will get the ball out fast, but if there's no deep threat, even the middling Giants secondary can keep things under wraps.
-- The Giants don't lose much this time of year. Not the last couple seasons, anyway. They're 5-0 at home the past two Octobers, when they've been healthy and facing inferior opponents. Tomorrow, they will be relatively healthy and facing an inferior opponent.
That's about all the insight I can muster. Giants 27, Jets 10.

It should be a pretty boring low scoring game in the 1st half, maybe 3-3 or 7-3 either way. The Giants have just too much talent and balance right now for the Jets to compete for 60 min.
Giants 27 Jets 14
We better not frickin lose this one after beating the Redskins and Eagles back to back. The Gmen would have to play really bad to lose tommoro. GO BIG BLUE!
I expect and ugly and close game between two offenses that sometimes don't know how to get out of their own way. Eli is good for one bonehead play per game -- after last week's red zone INT, Major Tom definitely pulled in the reigns on him with the way the defense was playing -- and Chad Pennington and Thomas Jones do not scare me at all (Leon Washington does, though, as he can leave the ).
As long as the Giants defense can play like it has over the past six quarters -- and that is no given considering the first 10 -- Coughlin is likely to go with a more conservative game plan to limit the mistakes. I'd probably do the same considering Eli's penchant for chucking the ball wherever when he's being flushed out of the pocket. Just throw it out of bounds, kid!
For those who are going to base this week's prediction on what happened last week, the Giants are a team that always plays down to the competition. They also do not know how to deliver the knockout blow on offense. They so dominated Philly last week yet still could have lost the game on a late Eagles TD drive had the defense not scored a TD.
Giants 16, Jets 13
I agree with t-dips.
23-17, Giants
What is the status with Steve Smith?
That's funny Arthur, the Giants are playing an inferior opponent. When exactly did the Giants become better than the Jets? All the preseason polls I read predicted the Jets to be in the playoffs, with the Giants on the outside looking in. The Giants are 2-2, the Jets 1-3. After the Jets win today, they will have the same record. So who exactly is the inferior team, Arthur? We shall see at the end of the year who has the better record. Geez, the Giants have one and a half big defensive games and all of a sudden they have passed over the Jets? You are funny, Arthur, very funny. You were better when you were covering the Rangers. Maybe it's time to go back there. GO JETS!
That's funny, Gary. I think we now know who the inferior team is, even though it was pretty obvious before the game. The Jets had gotten blown out by possibly the best team in football (that can be forgiven), lost to an average, at best, Ravens team, beat a woeful Miami team who may be the worst team in football, and lost to a bad Buffalo team who was playing without their starting QB (and managed to make Trent Edwards look like a Pro Bowler). The Giants had lost to an udefeated Dallas team (who looks like the class of the NFC), a now 4-1 Packers team, beat a now 3-1 Redskins team and humiliated the Eagles. The Giants have a better QB (I don't care about QB ratings, I care about what I see on the field, and what I see from the Jets is a QB who may not be starting much longer) and a better defense, especially along the line, which the Giants exploited to the tune of 188 yards rushing and 4.8 yards per rush. Anyone who had objectively watched these 2 teams thru the first 4 weeks could see that the Giants were the better team. The only reason the Jets may manage to finish second in their division this year is because Buffalo and Miami are two of the worst teams around...and they couldn't even beat Buffalo the first time! I know we all like to defend our team, and usually think they are better than they really are, but Arthur was just giving an objective opinion (trust me, he's not up there in the press box cheering for the Giants....reporters just want the game to end on time so they can meet the deadline and have an interesting angle or two) that anyone with two eyes and half a brain could have formed on their own...the Giants are a better team than the Jets. That doesn't mean the Giants are bound for the playoffs...unless they get to keep playing the Jets the rest of the way. Preseason polls are meaningless (how many of them had the Packers playing this well...or the Saints playing this poorly...or the Bucs at 3-2, or even the Raiders at 2-2 thru 4 games)...what matters is what's happening on the field, and right now, the Jets are not a good football team. And anyone who thinks they are, well, I'd love to get a hit off of whatever you're smoking.
Let's go Jets!
Jets suck Gary. Get the f***k over it. GO BIG BLUE!
Hey Gary, put this in your pipe and smoke it:
The Giants have now won the last four contests in the head-to-head series, which they lead 7-4 all time.
Most likely zero Super Bowl championships or appearances in your lifetime; three Super Bowls and two titles in mine.
Not only are the Giants the better team this year, but they are forever the better team in New York. The Jets are to the Giants what the Mets are to the Yankees... and that's coming from a Mets fan.
