Oops! Roster moves

Almost forgot the Giants' roster shuffle today:

They waived-injured Mike Jennings and DT Charrod Taylor (foot), and waived OL Dan Parrish.

They signed CB/KR J.R. Reed and C Nick Jones and claimed WR Will Buchanon off waivers from the Raiders.

That is all.

Is anyone as Sick of Tiki Barber as I am? As a lifelong Giants fan I think Tiki was a very good player, but I have been sick of him and his self-promoting BS for a few years now. Tiki you are no longer a GIANT. Farewell my onetime brother, Now get lost! Or at least stop talking NYG Football!

Arthur any idea where this leaves Michael Jennings financially? Here was a guy that worked 3 hard years to break into the league and on the cusp of making the team he blows his achilles. Do the Giants owe him any money for this year? I am sure this happens to someone on every team in the league. Seems to me the league has to do a better job of taking care of injured players. I am thinking of past HOF players crippled physically and mentally and current marginal players that unfortunately never realize their dream due to injuries.

I'm with you Shamgod! Tiki is a politician and it is unfortunate that he continues to muddy the waters with the Giants. Sadly he cannot simply go out as a great Giant player. Now he continues to yap about things that no longer are his concern. His retirement tour had to be a problem for the team last year, 6-2 at the break and 2-6 after coincide quite a bit with Tiki's startling public retirement after game 5. I'm sure the players got tired of answering constant Tiki and retirement questions, in I cannot remember any player announcing his retirement in the middle of a season. It was not only shocking it was the ultimate ME behavior.

Tis a shame about Jennings. That's rough.

One of our WR returned to practice yesterday and here is what he said about his good friend...

"Mike's a great friend of mine - I love him to death - it's unfortunate what he's going through," Burress said. "I tried to [call Vick] a few times; I really wouldn't expect to talk to him at a time like this, he's going through something that's demeaning to him and his family."

DEMEANING! - I suppose its UNFORTUNATE not because of what he did, but because he got caught! I think we have more issues than just winning a few games... Lets through some more money at these roll-models because the hits just keep rolling in...

Tiki... Here is what I think of you:

Great football player, horrible leader.

Completely self-righteous and had me fooled for years. His true colors showed in his last 3 seasons.

Calling out the coach to the media on multiple occasions (the same coach that cured him of what everyone was going to remember him for....FUMBLING) Blaming losses on the play calling and never taking the heat for anything that ever went wrong.

Great athlete, complete phony!!!

Hey Arthur, did they waive Jennings or place him on IR? I thought you couldn't cut an injured player?

msg4ever, you seem to forget the losses of Toomer and Strahan at around that time also contributed to the second half downfall. While I agree with Tiki that Coughlin abandoned the run in the Jax game last year, there was absolutely no reason for Tiki to blab that out of his mouth.

I get sick just looking at tiki . Hes no longer a giant as far as i"m concerned and I hope he dosen't get into the hall

Tiki was a Good player, not a HOF player. He's a HOF phony who will try and talk his way into the HOF. An absolute ME guy. I will surely change the channel whenever his clam head shows up on it.

Tom, I agree injuries played a large part, however Tiki's pre-retirement tour and mouth ahd to be a constant detraction. For a guy who talks so much he certainly was NO leader. I think the power running game this year will be highly productive and help the Giants replace Tiki. The only concerned about if the Giants can repalce Tiki is Tiki! Seems like his recent behavior proves that everyone in Giant land is happy he is gone. He won't let this go, and this will probably make people very tired of Tiki's constant jabbing at Giants, it shows a real lack of class and respect when you have to constantly demean the organization who gave you everything. Tiki has become one of the poster boys for the ingrate ME guys.
