No Rice Yet

That's the word from a person with knowledge of the Giants' meeting with Rice, who passed his physical, went to dinner and even worked out at the school here, albeit just to keep himself in shape.

The Giants are interested, says the person, but it would be at least 2-3 weeks, or until Rice's shoulder is fully healed and he could practice and play. He may not be a free agent by then, and the Giants might have Michael Strahan back in the fold by then, but that's the story. If Strahan decides before then to retire, things could change, but there's no deal and there won't be for a while.

Back at you after the evening practice.

It's sounding to me that this Rice thing is not going to work out. But in the end it won't matter if Strahan does return except for maybe more depth at the DE position.

Arthur; incredible job reporting. The updates are great. A fellow Giants fan and I were thinking of going down to Albany for Training Camp for a couple of days...but, cannot b/c of finances. However, your blog makes us feel like we are there the whole time. Thank you once again.
