« Strahan may be back by the weekend | Main | Oh, and Steve Smith has a concussion »

Jennings has a ruptured Achilles, Demps and Madison hurt too

Which is just awful, considering the guy was playing well. He made a terrific catch along the sideline and stumbled out of bounds, then looked back to see what happened to his left foot since no one touched him. He was going to make the team for sure and now he's done for the year.

Will Demps also has a dislocated right elbow after trying to tackle Musa Smith and that could be very serious as well.

And, on the same play but well away from any contact, Sam Madison came up clutching his left hamstring.

Ugly half.

Can you give us an update on Steve Smith. He suffered a concussion on the TD catch?

Hey...its a concussion and he was still on the sidelines and he didn't seem to show any ill effects. They were taking it safe and he should be fine. The Jennings injury sucks and he was having a great camp but listen he is still just a back up 5th down the line. The Demps injury and the Madison injury are thye bad ones. Demps will probably be gone for at least 6 games and Madison probably 4 more weeks but Webster and Ross looked good in the second half. Maybe its a blessing in disguise. Eli looked great and just wait till we get Plax and Amani back...they will be fine...Jc

I agree about the blessing in disguise. Long term, we have to get Webster and Ross out there together with Dockery and Underwood pressuring them and providing good depth.

Hello Arthur,

Thanks for the update. What's your take on the injury to Grey Ruegamer? Apparently he has a high ankle sprain AND a concussion? Can you clarify? If it is a high ankle sprain, I'm seriously worried about our interior line depth. I think they can live, in the short term, with all the injuries suffered last night but IMO, they can't afford Grey to be gone for very long. (caveat: they can live with the injuries if the report that Madison's hammy is relatively mild)
