The Obvious, Answer, Chris...

Is that I am not a real blogger. If only this could be the one thing I had to do all day, but with all the other stuff I have to do in the paper, it's tough... Not to mention the fact that watching 20 minutes of practice every day doesn't add to the blog potential.

However, there is one fine development that could aid in my blogging ability: Wireless in the press box and press room at Giants Stadium.

This is an issue that none of you readers care about, and rightfully so -- I should be able to do all of my job regardless of the impediments. But try blogging after the first quarter of a game when Blauber is hogging the phone line. That's too big a hill to climb, friends.

So we'll try harder from now on.

There is no news yet today, other than the fact that I am 5-4 in the early games in my Friday picks and Blauber is 2-7. We like that.

Oh, and thanks, Madison for the support.

And we'll see about Bob and his prognostication... My pick for this game was Giants, 38-35.

I live in Ohio, but am looking forward to this matchup tonight. I'll be rooting for the Giants

thx for the update before the big game tonite! and there's no need to defend the blog - most of us realize that we can spend .50 cents to read you every day. -madison, nyc

I didn't that blogger comment as harsh as itmust have came off -- but great news about the wireless. and hey madison, not sure what you meant with your comments about the $0.50. I read arthur and just about every other newsday sports writer's material online every day. And while I don't pay for the hard copy paper anymore, newsday.com is doing just fine monetize all my page views with web advertising. I work in the print media industry myself and I think it's become clear to all that the future is really in the brand and meeting the readers where they are willing to digest content. I'll continue supporting newsday the brand instead of just newsday the print product. Keep up the great work Arthur - I look forward to it every day. My comment about frequency really should have been interpretted as I can't get enough of it.

I LUV the Giants and I do not believe this season is going to give us Giants fans something to pout about. Just because they lost the season opener means nothing. Remember the Giants lost their season opener in 1986 but won the Super Bowl.
