Terrell Owens complains about role in offense!!!!

Yes, for the zillionth time in his career, Cowboys receiver Terrell Owens has voiced a complaint about not being more involved in the offense. simpson2.jpg

This, in spite of the fact he figured on 20 of the Cowboys' 58 offensive plays they ran against the Redskins yesterday. He was thrown to 18 times and had two rushing attempts for 11 yards.
He finished with seven catches for 71 yards, including a touchdown.

Asked if he got the ball enough in the Cowboys' loss, Owens said: "I would say no. I'm a competitor, and I want the ball. Everybody recognized that I wasn't really getting the ball in the first half. I'm pretty sure everybody watching the game recognized it, people in the stands recognized it. I think my team recognized it. I didn't quit. I kept fighting and trying to keep running my routes and trying to get open."

Welcome to the beginning of the Cowboys coming unglued. It probably won't happen all at once, but with a team of me-first guys - topped by Owens - it's bound to happen eventually.

On a personal note, I'd like to thank Mr. Owens for spouting off after the game. After all, it's the end of the month, we're always glad for more page views, and Owens is Google search engine magnet when it comes to getting hits. The only more effective way to draw page views for Cowboys' stuff is to mention Jessica Simpson ... and ... well ... we just did.

Number 1 team falling apart? Nah...

Where are you from Glauber? Oh,wait a minute, look on the left side, Giants news,Jets news. No wonder! East coast bias at it again! LOL

c'mon really? im sure if you were a competitor, you would also want the ball as much as he does. you are taking his comments and twisting them around. find someone else to pick on. unglued? not really, this loss is just going to make the team come together and become strongrer.

You are just a jealous north easterner full of bias.

First of all Mr. Glauber didn't make the comments up. Second if he was talking about Marvin Harrison or Donald Driver this would be a non-issue but its TO and with his history it is definitely worth mentioning. They suffered their first loss, he isn't getting his 13 catches for 150, and he isn't the biggest story anymore. Its Romo, or Pacman, or even Jessica Simpson. They are getting the headlines and he is taking a backseat. TO takes a backseat to no one. It starts off small like this then in a few weeks when the Giants beat um....(LOL I HOPE AT LEAST) it will be louder and more boisterous. Just wait. So don't bash the messenger.

Is it just me or is Jessica trying to reinvent the late 70's Farrah-do in that picture?

I'd make a comment about the expression on her face but it would probably violate the PG rating of this blog.
I'll just say that it is a very "fresh" looking expression.

Me-first guys??? T.O. is the only one of the team with that attitude, so maybe do a little research first before you write with your biases you idiot. Bob, please stop sucking the Giants' nuts so hard, thanks.

Nothing to be jealous of on this end...our coach and QB have at least made it happen in the playoffs. Your guys are O-for their careers.

TO is only a part of the Dallas team problem. They have way to many show-off prima donnas.
Score a touchdown when your losing and show off in the end zone?
Grow up - you get paid to score, put the ball down and go sit on the bench and try to figure out why you are losing.
No Super Bowl again this year, sorry.

Well BG, atleast this outpouring proves you reach a national audience here.

Skins fan living in NY here (I know I'm weird). But if you cowboys fans do not think this is just the start of your TO problems you are in for a hard fall...

TO's comments are the plain truth. He wasn't getting the ball enough in the first half and nearly all of those so-called "targets" before the third quarter were forced or uncatchable anyways. He even acknowledges a conscious effort was made to involve him more. Everbody wants to hate on him for his past, but he busted his ass out there yesterday and helped his team out.

Actually Kris, he should've received the gameball from the Redskins' coach. He can't accept the fact that he was outplayed. His continued whining helps create hate and discontent in the cowboy's organization. He got the ball 1/3 of the time, and he should have performed better. If he wanted more action, then maybe he should consider playing a sport that doesn't have a TEAM. His childish behavior continues no matter what organization signs him. The T.O. saga continues...same sport, same words, different team. Let the downward spiral continue...

what a cheap way to get a hit or two. I wish i could not have given this a--hole a hit

What an awesome victory for the Skins!! The bottom line is that T.O. got spanked by Sean Springs. Sean bumped him hard at the line and he could not handle it. So instead of trashing Owens, lets just give Sean some credit.

Great rivalry, and this was a memorable one for the burgundy and gold.

The talk up here in NoVA is how dysfunctional it is to have your owner on the sidelines screaming at the refs. Also, apparently Dallas cranked the heat up to 95 degrees in the Skins locker room. Typical Dallas nonsense, we can take it. It gets pretty humid up here in DC.

Any fan of this rivalry knows every game can go either way. The players and fans are so "up" for it that anyone can win. So I will not gloat.

But lets face it, how long before T.O. starts to meltdown?

You boys in Texas will be singing a different song when he's still on the roster as a starter and his house is listed for sale like it was in Philly.

Happy in DC.

Good ol' T. O. Totally Obnoxious as always.

I'll just say the same thing I told an Eagles fan who was telling me how great TO was right after he went there.

"Just wait. T. O. is always great the first year or so, when he's still trying to make a good impression and working at being part of the team. Very soon, he starts taking plays off, dropping easily catchable passes and trashing his quarterback and coach while whining about how he isn't being given the ball enough and involved enough in the game."

It's been true everywhere he's been. Good luck to you, Cowboys fans...it's your turn now.

I have to agree with some posters (despite the fact that I despise the Cowboys) that TO is really the only "me-first" guy on the team (but arguments can be made for Pacman Jones too). But we do know that they, as of late, fall apart in the playoffs (like my beloved Chargers) and this will likely occur with or without Terrell "The Mouth" Owens.

You know, though, he does make Chad Ocho-Cinco-Johnson-whatever appear quite tame and humble.

should just become giants fans

It's only a matter of time, you all knew this was going to happen. It starts with this little rant and then grows in to something bigger. You can see it in his eyes when he is out there on the field. Especially when Romo throws short or long. Just look into his eyes,he is a bomb waiting to explode. We saw it in Philly and we will see it in Dallas in time..he is a freaking selfish baby.

As a Cowboys fan, I never fell for the T.O. coming "full-circle" bit. I love the Cowboys, but I can see T.O. destroying the team if there is no intervention. I can't see Romo standing up to him, but somebody needs to. We have a great team and he is a great player to have...when everything goes his way. But, he hasn't changed. Believe it if you want, but I won't be sold on it. He can't even go 4 games without showing his true colors.

What half you idiots and for sure TO doesn't realize is this is a TEAM sport. The game cannot rely on one star player Like it did when John Riggins carried the defensive line everywhere he went back in the 80's especiallly for a reciever. The Redskins had TO covered and the Cowbooys should have stopped trying to give him his damn "touches" and focused on mixing it up a little. use all of your assets not the one who CRIES the most. Yes, TO you are a pussy. retire and go run a strip club. Your personality fits in there well... Why do people still defend this disgraceful P.O.S?

The press comes down hard on TO but there's nothing wrong with wanting to win when you know you're the best. Who cares if he doesn't like Jessica Simpson? He's still one of the greatest receivers alive. And when he's off the field, he's pretty down to earth. Check him out here with the hilarious guys from Three 6 Mafia:
