Favre's agent, Bus Cook, says Favre is now willing to play for the Jets. This after weeks of indications that Favre did not want to consider playing in New York.
Could it be that Favre is just saying that he'd be willing to move to New York without really feeling that way?
There's really no way of telling, because Favre isn't talking directly about it. But don't discount the possibility that Favre is sending out signals that he's interested as a way to drive up the price of a deal that would satisfy the Packers.
In other words, if the Jets are offering the best deal, and if Favre says he's willing to play in New York but really wants to play in Tampa, then he needs to somehow make the Bucs think he's interested in the Jets so the Bucs will drive up the price to satisfy the Packers' trade demands?
I know it's complicated. Just re-read the previous paragraph five times and you'll understand.
Stay tuned.
PS: I know that the Jets are concerned about this situation, to the point where they don't want to be perceived as a pawn being used for leverage on a Bucs' deal.

Ok big news Jet Fans , just recieved a call from
a source in the building [Hofstra] that Favre is on his Jet
[no pun intended] in route to Kennedy Airport.
hmmmmmm????? Stay Tuned its getting good now
heard the same thing on xm satt radio, favre might be coming to NYYYYYYYYYY
I also heard that Pisarcik is headed to Indianapolis.
Ok Favre comes to NY solely because he's gonna make millions in endorsements than he wasn't making before. There's no way he's coming here because he thinks he can make the Jets winners. Even if they get him, maybe they win 9 games, and that isn't enough to make the playoffs in the AFC. And they aren't even close to winning the division. If he goes to Tampa and they win the same 9 games, maybe they do make the playoffs, but probably won't. And no endorsements for him, except maybe for Mons Venus and the Dollhouse, and co-hosting "The Sports Chicks" radio show if he wants them. So, Brett, it's all about the Benjamins isn't it?
Let's get Brett, Let's get Brett, Let's get Brett.
E-Bola, on top of things as usual. We anxiously await any updates. This is kind of scary, we might actually get him.
