More Spygate fallout: NFL hires cop to prevent cheating

The NFL has hired Pennsylvania's police chief for an important security post. One of his tasks will be to make sure teams do not steal other teams' signals.

Wonder if that will appease another person from Pennsylvania who has been critical of the NFL's handling of the Spygate controversy last season. Pennsylvania Sen. Arlen Specter has backed off his call for Congressional hearings, but he is keeping tabs on the issue moving forward.

Come on Bob...Stealing signs is legal and is as old as the game itself.

You want to take George Halas out of the Hall of Fame? Ask some tough questions to Lamar Hunt (or any non-Patriot, for once)?

Belichick gets raked over the coals for a procedural violation (videotaping Chargers cheerleaders instead of just taking still photos), one that would have netted no benefit if the teams werent so stupid that they never changed their signs.

The NFL is absolutely ridiculous hiring this guy. His job is to what, remind teams to change their signs?

"The NFL is absolutely ridiculous hiring this guy. His job is to what, remind teams to change their signs?"

Not at all.
This guy's job is to prevent his sister, Specter's 2nd cousin on the wife's side, from releasing some embarassing pictures and other sordid details to the National Enquirer.
That's how these things work.

oh boy...
There ya go Bob....I just put your blog on a Congressional watchlist.
Maybe this will bump your page hits in an otherwise slow period.

Hope this PA Police Chief does a better job with his new responsibilities than he did overseeing the introduction of Slots/Gambling into the PA economy.

Who cares? let's get the training camps started!
