In light of the fact that Matt Walsh has supplied the NFL additional tapes of the Patriots illegally videotaping opposing teams' offensive and/or defensive signals, do you believe commissioner Roger Goodell should slap additional sanctions on Belichick and/or the Patriots?
Personally, I think it should end here. Now that we know Walsh doesn't have a tape of the Rams' walk-through practice the day before the Patriots' first Super Bowl win after the 2002 season, my feeling is that the issue is now over.
Yes, Walsh has additional examples of Belichick cheating. But the NFL's penalties against Belichick and the team were for all previous illegal videotaping activity, which Belichick acknowledged during the league's investigation.
Curious to see what you think.

It seems curious that Matt would have wrangled for three months on immunity if all he was turning over was 8 videotapes not including the SB walkthrough. Was Matt just being over-cautious or is there more to it?
I do agree with you that the fine and loss of a draft pick would cover the tapes turned over by Walsh, but overall it is dispicable and I would hope that the announcers/talking heads wouldn't fall all over Belichek crowning him the Genius of the NFL.
The illegal camera placement-gate that you media "people" followed was a tempest in a teapot anyway.
The Patriots got penalized the biggest penalty in NFL history for a minor transgression compared to the salary cap avoidance of the 49ers, Broncos, and Steelers for doing this since 2000. Walsh has further proof of what they admitted.
It is like a book keeper finding new evidence that Capone cheated on his taxes while Capone is in jail for tax evasion.
Finding another piece of evidence that BelliCheat broke the rules is a prime example of the "cockroach theory".... if you see one, there are hundreds more hiding".
This isn't over folks... leopards don't change their spots.
Bob:
Here's a point I haven't seen brought up during this entire SpyGate affair--didn't the Pats host the Rams in a regular-season game the year they met in the Super Bowl? If so, I would guess that there IS some sort of tape hanging around that the Pats used to give them an advantage in the championship game.
Or WAS some sort of tape, since all the others have been destroyed.
Bill Belichek should be punished and SEVERELY.
That penalty being....
Forced to ride a lame filly (aptly named "For Whom the Belles Toll") on Park Avenue between 59th and 86th Street, in the middle of July, clad only in a full length blue fox coat, sealskin chaps, a mink fur lined headpiece, with accessorized matching muskox mukluks.

Stealing blog headlines and ideas makes you no better than Belichick. You're dead to me.
Are you kidding !!
This is cheating folks and it is now out glaring at us in the light of day. In a sport that throws hundreds of millions around do you really think that Belicheck was punished. Get real. The league makes us believe that its all about sportsmanship, a good example for kids. Oh really!! This is a disgrace and the public should see those tapes even if it is painful for the NFL (Non Functional League) I bet there is another Walsh out there just ducking for cover. Arlen S. is weird in other ways within the government, but I hope that he sticks his nose in this as deep as he can. Belicheck should be suspended for a season and the team should lose next years first & second round pick. Now that is a message that this crap won't stand!! Roger, the owners are your boss don't think that your kidding us, but we ultimately help pay the salaries. Keep this up and me and my kids are sticking with Hockey! Ever heard of the Black Soxs of Baseball. Cheating is Cheating in the real world of good people.

That was an homage to you, my friend. You should know better.
I plan to make "Q of the D" a regular "staple" of this blog.
