I say yes. So does Anthony Rieber.
Jim Baumbach says no.
Read all about it and weigh in on "The Final Score" blog.
Or weigh in here.
Or both.
Thanks for reading Newsday's blogs.

If he is, then so is Clemens, McGuire, Bonds, etc etc
Baumbach has his own "book", nothing counts in there.
The '51 Giants were legendary for "stealing signs" with
"mechanical devices" at the old Polo Grounds. In fact, 3rd base coach and manager Leo Durocher is said to have told Bobby Thomson to "expect a fastball" from Ralph Branca on each of the 1st two pitches leading up to the "Shot Heard Round The World".
Leo Durocher is in the Baseball Hall of Fame.
Belichek will be in Canton.
Nice guys finish last..........and keep their "own book".
Tom, Canton ain't Cooperstown, please do not mix or confuse the issue. He will get in unless another shoe drops. IF a player or coach with multiple rings writes a tell all tome, as Canseco did in baseball, and all HC/NEP in the HOF bets are off. Short of something new, with serious detail and sourcing he is in on the first vote.
Sure he is, no problem with him getting in at all.
No, the man has no integrity. What's that you say? Integrity isn't a requirement for induction into the HoF? It's a tally of W's and Championships? Well hell then: I say win at all cost. I guess the lesson is that rules are made to be broken.
