There seems to be a fair amount of interest in Matt Ryan

Many NFL types will be descending upon Chestnut Hill tomorrow for Boston College quarterback Matt Ryan's pro day workout.

With the sixth overall pick in next month's draft, the Jets will surely want to know how things go. I'd imagine Bill Parcells would want to know as well, since he has the first pick.

Hey Bob, I have a quarterback question, me being from Oregon and all... Before Dennis Dixon tore up his medial collateral ligament in game 9 or so, he was the consensus Heisman front runner. Everybody said so. Now I don't hear a word about him; it's like he disappeared or something.

I saw him a couple of times this year at Autzen, both blowout wins, and he was off the charts exciting, made a lot of guys look foolish in the open field, did the best 'play action' fake handoffs I've ever seen, made many a cameraman look foolish, good accurate arm, seemed like a good 'team guy'. Do you hear any buzz about him?

Richie G:

Dixon wasn't considered a franchise type NFL quarterback before his injury (actually an ACL that required reconstructive surgery), but he will almost certainly be drafted - maybe mid- to lower rounds. His knee is doing better, and I believe he's scheduled to work out at the team's pro day on April 3.

Will keep you posted.
