Oregon running back Jonathan Stewart's surgery last week to repair a fractured bone in his right big toe might keep him out as long as six months, but his agent, Ben Dogra, is cautiously optimistic the rehab will be as brief four months.
It's still uncertain what effect, if any, the surgery will have on Stewart's draft status. He is still expected to go in the first round, but he might drop a few spots because of the injury situation. The surgery is not expected to have a long-term impact, however.
